Think French cuisine, clean, sophisticated plates of vibrant flavors and colors fill your mind. French food is all of that and more. It is difficult to not imagine yourself sipping white wine in a cafe on a cobbled Parisian street, no matter where in the world it is that you are tucking into some heavenly French food.

Traveling to and from Kuala Lumpur is made easy by the number of express buses that take you destination quite conveniently. You can book these bus tickets online from a recommendable portal called www.redbus.my.

These two restaurants in Kuala Lumpur will suffice your list irrespective of whether you love the cuisine or not.

Lafite: This restaurant tops the list for fine dining restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. its tranquil and warm lighting lift the delicate French dishes to another level altogether. And you have an extensively wide array of wines to choose from to complement your dinner. Signature dishes that you must definitely try include crayfish spaghetti timbale and fresh oysters and smoked salmon. It is known for the best wine and dine experiences. The place has an extensive range of wines and champagnes from all over the world. Every dining experience that the restaurant has to offer is tailored to your needs. I tried some of the freshest seasonal produce of Europe and the different flavors of it were just mouthwatering. The place is open from 12 noon to 3 PM in the afternoon and 7 PM to 10:30 PM.

Bistro a Table: It doesn’t get more classic French than this. It may not be a fine-dine place, but the homeliness of the place will transport you to Paris in an instant. The coddled maple syrup egg is a comfort food you will begin to yearn for at every other place you visit. The interiors are quite warm and cozy ensuring complete relaxation. The waiters are always around and are quite attentive.

Maison Francaise: Set in a converted three-storey mansion along Jalan Changkat Kia Peng, Maison Francaise (French House) is a French fine-dining restaurant with a romantic, vintage feel. With a classic Rolls Royce parked on the driveway out front and an interior design of white walls, terrazzo floors, modern crystal chandeliers and white tablecloth-covered tables, the decor is indisputably classy. I was here for brunch and it was quite exquisite with fresh oysters. The background music is always calm and soothing allowing you to have your meal in peace. The lighting is just right and subtle. The restaurant is more focused on the food before anything else. The kitchen is visible from a see-through glass.

It is separated into three areas: a private cigar lounge, main dining hall with a patio and an al fresco dining section surrounding a swimming pool. Heading the kitchen is executive chef Franck Lamache, who used to work in Les Ambassadors and Le Taillevent – Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris. Serving French food (with an emphasis on southern French dishes) the food is without a doubt tasty.
